Hello and welcome to the very first MyCanvasPrints NewsLetter.
Our website has been flying solo on the Internet (with a little help from our trade
partner Google), and we have collected over 1000 users who have images stored on
our server. So now its about time we started up a regular dialogue with you to keep
you in touch with what's been going on. |
Our big news for June is the increase in the maximum size of canvas we can handle from 24
in up to 33 in on the short side, so anyone wanting an A0 framed canvas (33 in x 46 in) will now
be able to order using the usual method on the website. Our A1 printer,
a Roland SP300 will continue to be used for production sizes sizes up to A1, whereas
larger prints will be made on a larger 8-colour Hewlett-Packard printer and stretched
on deeper 2-in frames.

for a while you may notice our website has changed to a new 'improved' look and
feel. We have graphics designed by OK-JO with a menu system that is new, funky,
and yes, its a tad quirky. Our survey suggests our new site has been very well received
by all and so it seems its here to stay. I'll let you know how you can have your
say a bit later in the NewsLetter.
Along with the facelift, our server code has also had a major application overhaul. The performance
of the 3d simulator, from around 5 seconds per generation to around 1 second. It
also has improved appearance, being larger and even more realistic. The Zoom-In
feature is also faster and larger.

We are now operating a proper link exchange system.
If you run a website you can now obtain recommended link html from our

page. We don't mind you suggesting links to go on our page, but all we ask is you
reciprocate the good deed by placing our link on your page first. We have designed
a nice logo for you to use, and all you do is copy the suggested link and paste
it directly into your page.

We always try and react to feedback whenever we get it, either positive or negative
and we will always try and improve our systems to meet your requirements in any
way we can. The consensus so far is that customers want a simpler, faster, easier
system for ordering prints. We beleive we have hit the bulls eye with version 4
MyCanvasPrints delivering powerful file handling capabilities, speed,
with realistic visual simulation and above all, ease of use.

Whats Coming Up?
Martin is always developing new ideas for the website, some work better than others,
some are destined for the trash can, but the ones that work stick. Martin is currently
working on an affiliate programme that extends on our web services and will enable
business customers to use our order processing engine to host a canvas print eShop.
This will be a low-cost packaged solution and will be available to anyone who makes
or sells canvas prints in the UK or overseas.
